Position Overview
The successful candidate in this role will be primarily responsible for using digital software to organize video and sound files into a final product. A video content specialist is required to possess both technical and creative abilities to be able to effectively create the vision clients have in mind. Individuals in this position usually have experience working with creative software and possess a keen eye for creative digital design.
The role also involves designing and distributing all digital communications across various platforms. Candidates must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), PowerPoint, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite. The chosen professional must be able to utilize advanced training, skills, and talent to interpret conceptual direction to create the final product. The specialist will work independently with stakeholders to generate videos that are compelling and creative.
Key Responsibilities
Employees employed in the role of Video Production Designer shall be required to apply their independent minds and demonstrate intellectual abilities in their decision-making. Essential functions include:
- Producing digital media and video deliverables for the company.
- Working closely with the social media team to develop and execute ongoing growth strategies for corporate channels.
- Partnering with creative and production teams to edit internal and external work, including case studies, rips, sizzles, social media content, and non-traditional branded content.
- Coordinating schedules and timelines for video content.
- Assisting with structural video storytelling.
- Demonstrating strong communication skills with the ability to independently manage overlapping deadlines.
- Working alongside art directors and creative directors to ensure all content is delivered on-brand.
- Conducting comprehensive pre-production planning.
- Shooting and recording videos on location, in studio, or virtually.
- Editing videos per script guidelines and providing critical creative input where needed.
- Developing graphics, visual effects, and motion graphics.
- Managing content and media asset libraries.
- Consulting internal teams on the effective use of video media.
- Ensuring the timely delivery of assigned video projects.
Required Qualifications & Experience
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for selection:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Film/Video, Motion Graphics, or a related professional field.
- Core Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a professional video production role (preference will be given to technology-savvy designers).
- Creative Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio of previous work showcasing professional experience and creativity is mandatory.
- Design Software Command: Strong knowledge of design software programs, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
- Office & Productivity Tools: Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Industry Assets: Industry preference is given to candidates with knowledge of the technology sector and video marketing tools such as Vimeo and YouTube.
- Operational Background: Proven experience working for US or UK-based organizations.
