NOC Engineer

Job Summary

As an NOC Engineer at Zeta Technologies, you will be responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance of our network infrastructure. You will monitor network systems, provide first-level troubleshooting, and coordinate with senior engineering teams to resolve complex technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor 24/7 Network Operations Center for alerts and system performance issues.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for network outages and escalate to Tier 2 support as needed.
• Manage and configure routing/switching equipment (Cisco, Huawei, Juniper).
• Update and maintain accurate documentation of network incidents and changes.
• Coordinate with upstream providers and third-party vendors for link restorations.
• Monitor environmental conditions of data centers and remote POPs.
• Provide remote support to field engineers during hardware deployments.

Technical Requirements

• Strong understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
• Hands-on experience with Network Monitoring Systems (NMS) like Zabbix, PRTG, or SolarWinds.
• Familiarity with Fiber Optic networks and GPON technology.
• Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix command line.
• Certifications: CCNA (Routing & Switching) is highly desirable.
