Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA) Taunsa is responsible for providing water supply and sanitation services to the residents of Taunsa Sharif and surrounding areas. The agency ensures proper sewerage maintenance and cleaning operations.

Job Overview

WASA Taunsa invites applications from suitable male candidates for 53 positions of Sewerman on a daily wages basis for a period of 45 days. These are temporary appointments with specific terms and conditions.

Qualification & Eligibility

• Physically fit and capable of working in field conditions.
• Must have experience in cleaning of sewerage network, including sewer line maintenance.
• Knowledge of sewer tools and safety procedures required.
• Punjab Domicile is mandatory.
• Age limit: Up to 45 years.
• Only male candidates are eligible to apply.
• Preference given to candidates with WASA/municipal sewerage work experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintenance of sewerage lines and networks.
• Removal of blockages and chokings in the sewerage system.
• Handling of sewer tools and equipment properly.
• Ensuring safety procedures during sewer work.
• Regular inspection of manhole points and sewer connections.
• Reporting maintenance issues to senior staff.
• Assisting in emergency sewerage repairs.

Terms & Conditions

• Appointments are purely temporary on daily wages basis for 45 days.
• Appointees have no right to claim themselves as regular/permanent employees in any court of law.
• Services can be terminated at any stage without prior notice or assigning any reason.
• Wages will be paid as per the schedule issued by Government of Punjab.
• A Practical Test (Sewer line handling, tools usage) will be part of selection.
• No TA/DA shall be granted to candidates.
• Competent Authority may cancel the recruitment or modify the number of posts.
• No benefits, leave, or allowances as per permanent employees.

Field Assessment Test

All eligible candidates must appear for a Practical Field Assessment Test to demonstrate their ability in sewer cleaning work.

• Nature of Test: Practical demonstration of sewer line cleaning techniques and tool usage
