Subject Specialist (Pak Studies)

Job Description

The Trust School is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Subject Specialist in Pakistan Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the approved curriculum in a way that engages students and fosters a deep understanding of Pakistan's history, geography, and socio-political landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructional Planning: Prepare and deliver comprehensive lesson plans based on the school's approved curriculum and Student Learning Outcomes (SLOs).
• Student Assessment: Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor individual student progress, including grading classwork, tests, and homework.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete records of student development and academic performance.
• Exam Preparation: Participate in the arrangement and preparation of students for external board and school-based examinations.
• Resource Management: Identify and select instructional resources and methods to meet the varying needs of students.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in Teacher Group Meetings (TGMs) and other school-based professional growth opportunities.
• Student Well-being: Promote and safeguard the well-being of students, managing classroom discipline and behavior effectively.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience in a reputable educational institution.
• Subject Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Pakistan Studies (History and Geography) at the Secondary/O Level.
• Communication: High level of language fluency and strong presentation skills.
• Classroom Management: Proven ability to create a positive learning environment and manage diverse student groups.
• Academic Excellence: Strong organizational and planning skills with a focus on student learning outcomes.
