Expert Advice for Applicants
- Structure Your Resume to Mirror the 50/50 Skill Split: The selection panel is looking for a profile that balances general automation engineering with explicit Salesforce platform testing logic. Ensure your project descriptions detail your experience with Salesforce sandbox deployments, custom object validations, or interaction with the Salesforce Metadata API right alongside your standard coding achievements.
- Quantify Code-Driven Test Engineering: Avoid describing your background with passive verbs like "assisted with testing." Instead, showcase your active code development by detailing metrics such as: "Constructed 150+ maintainable automation scripts in Python using Selenium, reducing time-to-market regressions by 30% across our primary API and service layers."
- Address Shift Adaptability and BDD Competencies: Because this position requires regular alignment with evening/night shifts and deep collaboration with cross-regional teams, explicitly highlight your past history working inside global distributed models, managing code branches in GitHub, and leveraging BDD frameworks (like Cucumber or SpecFlow) to match S&P Global's "Shift Left" engineering approach.
