About This Role
Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB), an internationally oriented educational institution, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Principal. The Principal will provide strategic, instructional and operational leadership to the school and will report to the Board of Governors. This is a prestigious senior leadership position in an English medium international school offering Cambridge and Pakistani curriculum streams. The successful candidate will lead a multicultural learning community and drive continuous improvement in academic excellence, student wellbeing, and institutional effectiveness. Key Responsibilities
- • Provide strategic, instructional and operational leadership to the school
- • Report to the Board of Governors on school performance and initiatives
- • Oversee curriculum implementation and academic programme delivery
- • Lead lesson delivery standards and assessment practices
- • Manage reporting systems and student achievement monitoring
- • Develop and implement whole-school improvement initiatives
- • Supervise and manage teaching and administrative staff
- • Conduct recruitment, induction and mentoring of staff
- • Oversee staff appraisal, professional development and performance management
- • Maintain effective parent and community relations
- • Manage daily school operations, timetabling and facilities
- • Oversee health, safety, admissions and examinations management
- • Manage institutional records and liaison with authorities
- • Provide financial oversight and resource management direction
- • Lead budget planning, forecasting and cost control
- • Foster a safe, inclusive and supportive school culture
- • Represent the school before embassies, organizations and the wider community
- • Ensure child protection and student wellbeing standards
- • Implement data-informed decision-making practices
Requirements & Qualifications
- ✓ Master's Degree from a recognized university (Higher qualifications in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration preferred)
- ✓ Sound knowledge of academic leadership, curriculum planning, assessment and reporting in English medium institutions
- ✓ Familiarity with international curricula, preferably Cambridge, and Pakistani curriculum streams
- ✓ Excellent written and spoken English
- ✓ Strong administrative and interpersonal skills
- ✓ Sound working knowledge of educational technology and school management systems
- ✓ Ability to provide strategic, instructional and operational leadership in multicultural environment
- ✓ Understanding of contemporary educational practices and child protection
- ✓ Knowledge of inclusive teaching approaches and student wellbeing
- ✓ Data-informed decision-making ability
- ✓ Minimum 7 years' service in senior school leadership roles
- ✓ Substantial responsibility as Principal, Vice Principal or Head of School
- ✓ Experience in reputed English medium institution, preferably abroad
- ✓ Strong record of academic and instructional leadership
- ✓ Demonstrated staff leadership and human resource management ability
- ✓ Proven parent, community and stakeholder relations management
- ✓ Solid administrative exposure in daily school operations
- ✓ Working knowledge of financial oversight and resource management
- ✓ Age between 45-50 years
