About the Job
The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Mardan is seeking a high-impact, seasoned professional to join our leadership team as the Chief Internal Auditor. This is a challenging, senior-level position (Grade-12) offered on a contract basis, reporting directly to the Board of Governors through the Audit Committee.
MTI Mardan is a premier healthcare facility in the north region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, encompassing a large tertiary care hospital, a childrenβs hospital, a medical college, and a dental college. We are an autonomous institution governed under the MTI Act 2015, dedicated to bringing efficiency and transparency to the healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
The Chief Internal Auditor will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function to ensure financial integrity and operational compliance. Key duties include:
- Developing and implementing a comprehensive internal audit program for the entire MTI Mardan complex.
- Evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes.
- Conducting independent audits of financial records, operational procedures, and compliance with the MTI Act 2015.
- Providing clear, actionable reports and recommendations to the Board of Governors and the Audit Committee.
- Ensuring the institution adheres to all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
Requisite Qualification & Experience
Candidates must meet one of the following two criteria:
Option A:
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the private corporate sector.
OR
Option B:
- Qualification: Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) or ACCA member.
- Certification: Must hold a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Internal Audit within the private sector in a similar position.
Compensation & Benefits
