Role Overview
The Consultant/Advisor for Civil Projects & Infrastructure is a full-time, on-site position based in Islamabad, Pakistan, with a leading E&P company. This professional oversees and manages civil works related to the design, construction, and upgradation of infrastructure across company installations. The role requires a results-driven individual capable of ensuring quality execution, cost efficiency, and timely delivery for a consultancy period of one year.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Leads and manages civil construction projects, including rig installations, residential buildings, offices, and related infrastructure.
- Design & Review: Plans, designs, and reviews structural, mechanical, and electrical works to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- On-Site Supervision: Supervizes on-site construction activities, maintaining strict quality control and adherence to technical drawings.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Acts as a primary liaison between architects, consultants, contractors, and internal departments for permits and project approvals.
- Financial & Schedule Management: Prepares project schedules, cost estimates, and budgets, ensuring all milestones are met within financial constraints.
- Technical Problem-Solving: Conducts site inspections to resolve technical issues and approves shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensures all site activities strictly adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Professional Skills
- Project Management: Demonstrates mastery in leadership, budgeting, and cost control across the full project lifecycle.
- Engineering Software: Holds advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera/MS Project, and other essential engineering software.
- Structural Analysis: Possesses strong technical and structural analysis skills to ensure infrastructure integrity.
- Communication: Exhibits excellent communication and team coordination abilities for managing subcontractors and the on-site workforce.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Features high-level problem-solving and decision-making capabilities in high-pressure construction environments.
Education & Experience
- Experience: Requires 20 years of proven expertise in residential, commercial, office, and industrial projects.
- Education: Holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (a Master's degree is preferred).
- Certifications: Must have a valid PEC Registration. A valid PMP certification is highly preferred.
- Eligibility: The candidate must be of Pakistani origin.
