About the Job

The Finance Division, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly qualified and motivated SQL/Oracle DBA to join the Tax Policy Office in Islamabad. This role is critical for managing the high-performance database environments that house sensitive fiscal data and support complex tax policy simulations for the national economy.

Key Responsibilities

• Database Administration: Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server and Oracle database environments.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies for complex queries and large-scale data processing.
• Data Security: Ensure the integrity and security of fiscal data through robust access controls and encryption standards.
• Backup & Recovery: Develop and manage comprehensive disaster recovery plans and automated backup schedules to ensure 24/7 data availability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with Analysts to provide data extracts and structural support for tax policy modeling and reporting.
