About the Jobs
The Directorate General Research & Development Establishment (DGRDE), Rawalpindi, under the Ministry of Defence Production, is recruiting qualified Pakistani nationals for various technical, administrative, and support roles. These positions are distributed across the MVRDE, ARDE, and IOP wings, focusing on advancing national defense engineering and production.

- AFM (BPS-14). Quota: Sindh (R) Merit. No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 20–35 years. Eligibility Criteria: 3-year DAE in Mechanical, Electrical, Machine Shop, Metallurgy, Automobile, or Draughting & Design Production with 2 years of practical experience, or Ex-JCO Armament Artificer with 4 years of experience.
- Assistant (BPS-15). Quota: Sindh (R) Merit. No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–28 years. Eligibility Criteria: Graduate degree from a recognized university. Selected candidates must complete a 6-week IT training course at NITB.
- UDC (BPS-13). Quota: Sindh (R) Merit. No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Intermediate qualification. Candidates must undergo a 3-week IT training course conducted by NITB during the probation period.
- LDC (BPS-11). Quota: Sindh (U) Women. No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Matriculation with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM. A mandatory 3-week NITB IT course is required after selection.
- D.Man A (BPS-11). Quota: Punjab (Merit). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 20–30 years (Ex-Military up to 50). Eligibility Criteria: 3-year DAE in Mechanical Draughtsmanship or Matric with a relevant certificate and 5 years of experience.
- Supervisor Upper Grade (BPS-15). Quota: Balochistan (Merit). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: DAE in Radio, Electronics, TV, Electrical, or Optical Production with 4 years of post-diploma experience.
- Research Assistant-I (BPS-15). Quota: Punjab (Merit). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: B.Sc. with Physics as a major subject and 4 years of lab experience in related fields like Electronics or Applied Optics.
- SPT (BPS-9). Quota: Punjab (Merit) - 02, FATA (Merit) - 01. No. of Vacancies: 03. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering) with at least 2 years of experience in Production Technology.
- D/Man B (BPS-7). Quota: Punjab (Merit). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–26 years. Eligibility Criteria: 1-year Post-Matric Certificate in Draughting/Mechanical Draughtsmanship or equivalent military course.
- Gate Keeper (BPS-7). Quota: Sindh (U) Merit. No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 40–50 years. Eligibility Criteria: Ex-Army JCO with a Matric degree or equivalent military education (AEC 1st Class).
- HS-II Machinist (BPS-6). Quota: Punjab (Merit/Women). No. of Vacancies: 02. Age Limit: 18–30 years. Eligibility Criteria: Matric with 3 years of trade experience or a relevant DAE certificate.
- HS-II Computer Technician (BPS-6). Quota: Punjab (Merit). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–30 years. Eligibility Criteria: Matric with 3 years of hardware/software experience or a DAE in Computer Science/Electronics.
- HS-II Welder (BPS-6). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–30 years. Eligibility Criteria: Trade certificate in welding with 3 years of practical experience in a reputable firm.
- Laboratory Attendant (BPS-5). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Matric with Science subjects from a recognized board.
- Junior Production Technician (BPS-5). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Matriculation, preferably with a background in Science or technical subjects.
- Civ Driver (BPS-4). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 02. Age Limit: 18–30 years. Eligibility Criteria: Primary Pass with a valid driving license and thorough knowledge of traffic rules.
- N/Qasid (BPS-1). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Literate; must be able to read and write Urdu and basic English.
- Mali (BPS-1). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Literate; must have practical experience in gardening and landscape maintenance.
- Sanitary Worker (BPS-1). Quota: Local (Rawalpindi). No. of Vacancies: 01. Age Limit: 18–25 years. Eligibility Criteria: Literate; physically fit for maintenance and cleaning duties.
Terms & Conditions
- Maximum age limits shall be relax-able for five years in all cases, in addition to the age relaxation admissible under “Initial Appointment to Civil Posts (Relaxation of Upper Age Limit) Rules, 1993”.
- Interested candidates must apply directly Online on National Jobs Portal Link i.e https://njp.gov.pk against the vacancies at Ser No. 1 to 19 within 15 days of date of advertisement.
- Candidates already in Government service must apply through proper channel and produce NOC at the time of test/interview.
- The candidates should make sure before appearing in the examination/test, that they are eligible in all respects for the post applied for.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for test/interview.
- Applicant must produce Original academic documents, Domicile, experience certificate & Discharge book (for Army persons only) at the time of Interview.
- After necessary scrutiny of online application through NJP only eligible / shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview at the specified test center at Rawalpindi/Karachi.
