About This Role
The Government of Sindh - Planning and Development Department invites applications for Deputy Director (MIS and Software Development). This position is responsible for developing and managing Management Information Systems and software solutions for the department. The role involves designing web and mobile applications, implementing SDLC methodologies, ensuring secure coding practices, and managing IT integrations. Certifications in Software Development and MIS are preferred. This is a contract position for one year, extendable based on performance. Applicants must be domicile/PRC holders of Sindh with a maximum age limit of 40 years.
Key Responsibilities
- • Develop and manage Management Information Systems (MIS)
- • Oversee Software Development projects and initiatives
- • Design Web and Mobile applications for government services
- • Implement SDLC methodology and best practices
- • Ensure Secure Coding principles and Application Security
- • Manage Web APIs and IT Integration
- • Maintain Version Control Systems and documentation
- • Implement Testing Frameworks and quality assurance
- • Support system documentation and knowledge management
Requirements & Qualifications
- ✓ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering or equivalent (at least 16 years of education)
- ✓ Minimum 2.5 CGPA or Second Division from HEC recognized university
- ✓ Minimum 3 years of experience in Software Development and MIS systems
- ✓ Familiarity with modern programming languages, IT, Cloud, and IT frameworks
- ✓ Certifications in Software Development and MIS preferred
- ✓ Must be domicile/PRC holder of Sindh
- ✓ Maximum age limit: 40 years (as of closing date)
